I am sure today I am bringing you a well sought-after article, seen the success of Jenna Ortega in the hit series “Wednesday“. Let’s talk about what she wore to its Los Angeles premiere.

Ortega–perfectly in tune with the theme–looked spooky in a black crinkled silk Versace dress with thigh high slit and black veil from the Spring 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection.

She fittingly paired the dark ensemble with black Versace Aevitas pointy platform shoes, a Delfina Delettrez 18kt white gold diamond Dots ring and a Delfina Delettrez Domino Dots ring. She also wore a pair of Stéfère blue sapphire snake earrings.

The choice of the Versace macabre dress with the veil was not a coincidence, as she revealed to Entertainment Tonight during an interview: “It just felt appropriate, I felt like if I was gonna wear black like everyone else I probably should make a deal out of it, I think she would appreciate the veil… I put it on and I just knew that this was probably what I should do.”

As could be expected, MUA Mélanie Inglessis put her rock spin to Jenna‘s makeup, and created on her a deep smokey eye made less serious with the application of glitter as a topper on the eyelids, below her lash line and on the inner corner of the eyes. A nude lip was the finishing touch.

Her hair was styled by David Stanwell in a sleek do with center part and curtain bangs, while manicurist Thuy Nguyen painted Jenna‘s almond shaped nails with a matte black nail polish.

The “Scream” actress has been collaborating with stylist Enrique Melendez for a long time, indeed I still remember the first time I saw her on a red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of “Emma.” and I was amazed by her daring fashion choices already.

You could already see that she had a distinctive personality and when you have the responsibility to dress child actors, you literally shape their public persona too. Sometimes when actors get older, they tend to switch to other collaborators, so it is remarkable to see someone who is able to accompany her through her adulthood too.

So glad that the Versace team took a chance on Jenna, but I am also pretty sure that Donatella saw the confidence and strength that the actress exudes, just like a real Versace woman.
