This week has been a wild ride for us but we are making sure to give you the detailed style analyses we are known for even if it means publishing articles following a different schedule than normal.
We are still focusing on Cannes and today we’d love to talk to you about what model Jasmine Tookes wore to the event last year.
Tookes donned a Zuhair Murad beaded tulle long-sleeve crop top and matching wrap skirt with a slit in antler cream from the Spring-Summer 2022 Couture collection.
She paired her ensemble with Femme LA ‘The London‘ lace-up silver stiletto sandals while for jewelry she opted for Boucheron, specifically Plume de Paon ear clips with two pink morganites, a Boucheron Plume de Paon ring in 18kt white gold, another one in rose gold and a Plume de Paon ring with a cushion-cut morganite.
Down below you can admire the intricacies of the dress in all their glory, front to back.
Makeup artist Naïma Bremer painted Jasmine‘s face with earthy tones that blended perfectly into the model’s complexion. The emphasis was on the eyes, with a brown matte lid, black eyeliner pencil and long false lashes to better intensify her look.
Bremer used Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty products to achieve the desired result, here they are if you’d like to replicate the look (the list was slightly edited for better comprehension):
Skincare: Fenty Skin – Fat Water & Hydra Vizor Moisturizer;
Primer: Fenty Beauty – Pro Filt’r Mattifying Primer;
Foundation: Fenty Beauty – Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint #19 & #21;
Concealer: Fenty Beauty – Pro Filt’r Concealer #360, #345 & #410;
Eyes & Cheeks: Fenty Beauty – Sun Stalk’r Face + Eye Bronzer & Highlighter Palette;
Highlighter: Fenty Beauty – Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in ‘Girl next Door/Chic Phreak’;
Brows: Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil in ‘Black-Brown’;
Lipstick: Fenty Icon The Fill Semi-Matte Refillable Lipstick in ‘Flaunty Auntie‘ and ‘Major Magnate‘.
Her hair was styled in a pretty simple knotted hairdo, but we were not able to find the hairstylist behind it (if there was any). We actually asked for information to someone involved in her getting ready process and are patiently awaiting confirmation. We will update this space as soon as we find out.
It wouldn’t be a long shot to actually think that Jasmine did her hair herself, because she often does her makeup too and she mentions it frequently. In this case, she did not state it, but we can hypothesize.
She also sported a pink-ish oval-shaped nude manicure, probably not taking away the attention from her embellished dress.
As always, the Black beauty worked with her stylist mother Cary Robinson who proved to be (time and time again) the perfect fit for her red carpet needs.
Jasmine has an elevated “rich mum aesthetic” right now and her stylist mother has always been able to translate the model’s penchant for rich and luxe materials through clothing.
Funnily enough, yesterday, Jasmine shared some memories from the festival on her Instagram stories, what can we expect this year?
