Leave it to Janelle Monáe to bring the heat on a red carpet. In a sea of pretty formal dresses, she obviously stood out while attending the 61st Annual Grammy Awards at Staples Center on February 10, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.
Monáe channeled architectural realness in a white Jean Paul Gaultier plissé structured gown from the Spring 2019 Couture collection, paired with Le Silla burgundy pumps.
On her ears she sported two mismatched pair of earrings: a Tiffany & Co. Link earring and another Graduated Link earring in 18k gold from the HardWear collection. She also wore an abundance of rings by the same brand: a big and a small Ball ring and different iterations of T rings with and without diamonds.
We weren’t able to find any detail regarding her makeup, apart from her lashes by Lashify. Her braid was styled by her long time friend and collaborator Nikki Nelms, who used Maui Moisture to keep it soft and in place.
Janelle‘s nails were courtesy of Sreynin Peng, who created a set of custom black and white nails which echoed the structure of her dress.
