In a quest to deliver to you the most informative creative content, we dug so deep into the internet that we almost got lost today. Do you know why? Well, we were simply captivated by the ensemble HoYeon Jung wore to the Emmy Awards 2022.

For the award show, HoYeon donned a custom Louis Vuitton dress with thin spaghetti straps and a round neckline. It resembled a slip dress decorated with thousands of multicolored hand-embroidered applications.

The tweed pattern used to create the dress was reminiscent of one used for a look that was part of the Fall 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection.

According to the maison: “The dress took 110 hours to make, and was created through a meticulous process, including placing 20,000 sequins and embroidering for an additional 490 hours.”

Per Hola.com, for the decoration of the dress, the artisans of the French house used Langlois sequins in complementary shades of pastel colors on a base of black paillettes that simulated a three-dimensional tweed effect.

And as small as it may have seemed, her hairpiece required the intervention of a designer, a jeweler, a painter, a gilder and a laser machine. It was made with the same sequins that decorated the dress and it took the LV team 30 hours to achieve the desired result. Her black mini bag was decorated with little nods to the Trunk model.

She accessorized the look with a simple pair of Louis Vuitton ankle strap sandals (same model as pictured above, without the monogram), a Louis Vuitton ruby and diamond cocktail ring from the ‘Bravery Chapter II‘ collection and Louis VuittonPure V‘ rings imagined entirely in white gold, diamond and onyx–among others.

The South Korean model and actress had her makeup done by Nina Park, who–as we all know–is a master at creating a flawless natural look. Glowy skin and a little eyeliner flick gave the look an added chic touch.

Facialist Iván Pol prepped the actress’ face using Chanel products:
N°1 de Chanel – Revitalizing Essence Lotion;
N°1 de Chanel – Revitalizing Serum;
N°1 de Chanel – Revitalizing Eye Cream;

Here is what he said about the procedure: “N°1 de Chanel Revitalizing Essence Lotion – I infused this petal-clear complex composed of niacinamide and Red Camellia Extract to reduce the appearance of pores and imperfections. The perfect red carpet dressing to plump and radiate the skin for a glow that lasts.”

Hairstylist Jenny Cho was inspired by Audrey Hepburn and the retro era, creating for Jung a chic bob with bangs. To make it more playful and to honor Korean traditions, she accessorized it with a colorful hairpiece. According to the community of Koreaboo: “It was inspired by the petals of chrysanthemum flowers and can see elements of the traditional Korean jewelry known as Cheopji. It is a Korean hair accessory decorating the chignon of ladies. In particular, for fans of K-Dramas, the hairpiece might seem more recognizable, especially in those set in the past.”

To achieve the look, Cho used Augustinus Bader products that you can see down below. ↘

HoYeon‘s nails were pretty simple, consisting of a short rose-y manicure, created by manicurist Yoko Sakakura. She detailed the whole process on her Instagram and here it is if you’d like to replicate it (slightly edited for clarity):

“1. Clean up the cuticles, file and shape the nails, then apply alcohol to prep them for gel;
2. apply Base Gelcoat by Aprés and cure in Beta LED nail lamp for 60 seconds;
3. mix Aprés Gel Couleur How You Dune?‘ and Aprés Gel Base Coat (the ratio 1:1) to create a custom sheer nude pink. Apply an even coat of gel color and cure for 60 seconds and repeat this step to have a total of 2 coats of color gel;
4. apply Non-Wipe Glossy Top Gelcoat by Aprés and cure for 60 seconds;
5. apply cuticle oil and hand moisturizer to finish up the look.”
