Actress Gwendoline Christie wore a custom Iris van Herpen Fall 2019 couture Hypnosis ‘Suminagashi’ ink dress for the European premiere of The Personal History Of David Copperfield in London (October 2019).

According to the designer’s Instagram: “The Hypnosis ‘Suminagashi’ ink dress ∞ Suminagashi patterns from the ancient art of Japanese ‘floating ink on water’ technique, are gradient-dyed fading white into burgundy, to then be lasercut and heat-bonded to transparent tulle, seemingly and seamlessly flowing down over the skin.”

On her feet Christian Louboutin ‘Alminetta’ suede pumps in red to tie-in with the dress.

No need for jewelry, seen the intricacy of the dress.
