Actress Gwendoline Christie wore a custom Iris van Herpen Fall 2019 couture Hypnosis β€˜Suminagashi’ ink dress for the European premiere of The Personal History Of David Copperfield in London (October 2019).

According to the designer’s Instagram: “The Hypnosis ‘Suminagashi’ ink dress ∞ SuminagashiΒ patterns from the ancient art of Japanese ‘floating ink on water’ technique, are gradient-dyed fading white into burgundy, to then be lasercut and heat-bonded to transparent tulle, seemingly and seamlessly flowing down over the skin.”

On her feet Christian Louboutin β€˜Alminetta’ suede pumps in red to tie-in with the dress.

No need for jewelry, seen the intricacy of the dress.

The Personal History of David Copperfield is a 2019 comedy-drama based on the 1850 Victorian era novel David Copperfield by Charles Dickens.

Christie plays the character of Jane Murdstone in the movie
