Gucci Westman is an American makeup artist, cosmetic designer, and founder of cosmetics line Westman Atelier. She was born in 1971 in California and grew up in Sweden.

Westman is one of the world’s most influential makeup artists, known for her ability to create both natural and more elaborate looks with equal skill, she has been a prominent leader in the field of sophisticated fashion, celebrity and runway make-up for over two decades.

In 2003, Westman was appointed International Artistic Director of LancΓ΄me, where her responsibilities included representing the brand at fashion and beauty events, styling models for advertising shoots and designing cosmetic color collections for each season.

Westman was then tapped as the Global Artistic Director at Revlon a position she held from 2008 – 2015 until she stepped down from that role, she provided her expertise on new product development and was a key contributor to the brand’s color stories and trend collections.

Westman became known for her makeup work with celebrities, including Drew Barrymore, Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Cameron Diaz. While working with Revlon, Westman worked with Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Elle Macpherson, Jennifer Connelly, and Jessica Biel.

She served as a makeup artist or makeup supervisor for several Hollywood movies including Being John MalkovichBuffalo 66, and French Exit. Westman had a cameo role in the film version of Sex and the City in 2008.

Westman has helped to create many memorable covers for American Vogue, W, Harper’s Bazaar, AnOther Magazine and Vanity Fair, and has longstanding relationships with world renowned photographers Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Testino, Michael Thompson and Peter Lindbergh and iconic editors, Grace Coddington, Tonne Goodman and Alex White.

Westman also works with a new generation of visionary image makers who continue to set agendas in the fashion industry including Roe Etheridge, Gregory Harris, Harley Weir, Cass Bird, Gorden Von Steiner and Lachlan Bailey.

Westman’s commercial clients include many of America’s most established brands, creating campaign and runway looks for Nina Ricci, Proenza Schouler, Carolina Herrera, Versace, Thakoon, Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney and Rag & Bone, among others.

Westman has currently been consulting with the innovative skincare brand SKII, her passion for natural beauty in skincare and makeup led her expertise to be a perfect fit for the brand. In June of 2018, Westman launched Westman-Atelier, her own line of clean consciously crafted and formulated makeup, including foundations, blushes, highlighters and bespoke brushes, the line is sold at Barney’s New York and Violet Grey.
