Let’s explore together what American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty 2024.

Today I’m bringing you a bit of sophistication, mixed with gentleness and the freshness of youth.

Gracie Abrams is one of latest embodiments of all these characteristics and I’m delighted to introduce her to you because my aim is to make you see how multifaceted is the world of entertainment, a world that has always fascinated me immensely.

For this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty, Abrams donned a custom Prada light pink velvet gown with a plunging neckline and all-over crystal embroidery, paired with Prada black satin high-heeled mules

She complemented her ensemble with several Darius jewels: an Antique Peruzzi Diamond Ring Hoop in 18k fairmined yellow gold on her left ear, a pair of Emerald Ring Hoops featuring Colombian emeralds set in 18k fairmined yellow gold, a Padparadscha Sapphire & Pear Diamond Stacked ring on her right pinky, a Purple Sapphire Ziggurat Ring on her right index finger, a Chrysoberyl Gem Signet Ring on her left index finger, a Diamond Ziggurat Eternity Band on her left middle finger, stacked with another Purple Sapphire Ziggurat Ring and and what seems to be an Antique Pear Diamond Gem Signet ring on her left pinky.

Her makeup was courtesy of MUA extraordinaire Hung Vanngo, who opted for a lifted smokey eye. The trick–as Vanngo put it on his Instagram–was to blend the different eyeshadows he applied outward and upward and to apply the deeper shade mainly on the outer part of the upper lids.

All products used were by Chanel Beauty, not a surprise since Gracie is a Chanel Ambassador.

Bobby Eliot styled her hair in a knotted low chignon, emphasizing the ethereal nature of her dress and mirroring the simple styles she already shows off while out and about. What I feel is that she didn’t want to stray too much from what she’s comfortable with, elevating what she already has in the most gracious way (see what I did here?)

Eliot achieved the dreamy result by using Fekkai products, and the brand listed them in a post on social media:

When it came to her manicure, Betina Goldstein created a set of soft blush oval-shaped nails for the singer-songwriter, practically matching the dress. Something very simple but in line with Gracie‘s simplicity but also probably in line with her desire for something more “out there” but classic and timeless at the same time.

Gracie was styled by Spencer Singer, someone who I discovered thanks to Billie Eilish.

You are probably asking yourself how can someone dress two individuals in such contrasting ways at the same time and I’m here to tell you that that’s what makes Singer so special.

I think he brings modernity but also maturity to both wardrobes but in clashing and opposite ways, he plays with two very different ways of perceiving femininity and I find it intriguing.

One way is very “common” and the other one is queer and experimental, but both in a soft and delicate manner, they are cohesive on their own.

I am very glad he is working with both artists because he has a way of working with Chanel for example, which is such an iconic heritage brand that I often struggle to appreciate, that truly makes it appealing to me, if worn by Gracie or Billie, in different ways. Not many can do it, but he can.

Take this Prada ensemble too–he gave it a romantic feel, and people don’t often associate such an adjective with the brand, and that tells me a lot about the way he envisions styling and how much the personality of a client is considered and crucial for his work.
