On this windy Thursday I thought about the breezy feeling of a coastal city and Cannes immediately came to mind.

That’s why today I’ll write about the breathtaking model Grace Elizabeth attending its Festival last year in a dress that you may have sadly missed.

For the event, the model donned a sculpted emerald figure hugging Waad AloqailiDragonflies‘ gown with train from the Spring-Summer 2o25 ‘Veil of Renewal‘ collection.

According to the brand, the ‘Dragonflies‘ dress is a “mesmerizing blend of opulence, elegance and artisanship.

Soft satin is perfectly contoured to follow the natural curves of the body, creating a sensuously smooth silhouette. Ripples of beads, sequins and crystals in azure blue and teal cover every inch of the gown, mimicking the sinuous form of dragonfly wings.

From the elaborate full-length embellishment to the figure-defining silhouette, every element of this gown is masterfully executed by skilled couturiers over the course of 900 hours.”

The American beauty complemented her ensemble wearing Messika High Jewelry pieces and white high heels (barely visible on the red carpet).

Grace was made up by Neil Young who opted for a colorful look that reprised the shades of the dress.

For instance, he applied a teal/light green eyeshadow on the lids, using a glittery silver one on the inner corners of the eyes to open them up even more.

The pro also brushed the eyebrows upward for the most natural effect, finishing everything off with nude light peachy lips.

Fabio Petri styled her hair in a middle parted wet-looking long do, very much following the vibe of the dress; she looked just like a mermaid emerging from the sea.

The Victoria’s Secret model was dressed by Natasha Colvin, a very discreet but undervalued stylist (who deserves a lot more recognition) who expertly selects show stopping dresses that I think have a very melancholic and poetic feel to them.
