On this freezing Tuesday I wanted to write about something youthful and energetic, a bit out of the ordinary, especially when it comes to red carpet events.

My mind went back to the lovely outfit model Gigi Hadid wore to the New York premiere of “Deadpool & Wolverine” some months ago and I thought today could be the right day to talk about it.

For the occasion, Hadid donned a yellow Miu Miu bandana top, complete with matching skirt from the Spring-Summer 2024 collection, paired with black Miu Miu patent leather slingbacks with gold buckles and a yellow Miu Miu Arcadie matelassé nappa leather bag with colorful charms.

She complemented her ensemble with a pair of Dinosaur Designs Large River Rock earrings in the shade ‘Light Horn‘, a gold Versace bracelet that served as an anklet on her right ankle, Alexis Bittar archive bangles stacked with different ones by Dinosaur Designs: a Large Rock Bangle in ‘Light Horn‘, a Small Organic Bangle in the same shade, a Wide Boulder Bangle and other ones of different colors and sizes.

Gigi‘s makeup was courtesy of Kristofer Buckle, who opted for a very simple but effective black trait of eyeliner, long false lashes to frame her eyes and a peachy pout to seal the deal.

The hair was styled in a short layered bob with flipped up ends by Jennifer Yepez who paired it with a playful arched fringe.

Seen the nature of the movie, Yepez definitely knew what she was doing here, especially since she’s incredibly good at working models’ hair while keeping hairstyles fresh but replicable for everyday people.

It’s certain that the inspiration came from Wolverine‘s infamous slashes, that are depicted with the color yellow (a reference to his suit) while the base was red, to symbolize Deadpool‘s dark red and black costume.

Not for nothing, Deadpool and Wolverine‘s bromance is reflected in the fact that Gigi accompanied her friend (and Ryan Reynold‘s wife) Blake Lively to the premiere who–on her part–was wearing a red bodysuit.

This time, Gigi was styled by Elizabeth Sulcer, not exactly a new collaborator for the model.

Sulcer has a big editorial background and her immaculate aesthetic could have been a draw for the model who’s going through a new stage in her life, as both a businesswoman with her luxury knitwear brand Guest In Residence and as a new mom.

Either way, the stylist has a very specific and opulent point of view, which is translated into outfits that are both fresh and timeless, exactly what you’d want for a model off-duty.
