Fara Homidi is an Afghani refugee, New York-based makeup artist who grew up in Fremont, California.

Fara is renowned for her impeccable technique and minimalist style of makeup. Her career spans over 25 years.

Born in Afghanistan, her family relocated to California where she began her work in retail beauty at the age of seventeen. In the early 2000s, she moved to New York to pursue her profession in the fashion industry and has made the city her home.

Her artistry has been seen on some of the most coveted runway shows and fashion campaigns such as Off-White, Coperni, Ferragamo, Chloé, Hermès and Miu Miu.

With a keen eye for texture and quality, Fara is best known for her raw, sophisticated complexion work, as well as her elaborate and detailed makeup using a wide range of colors and interesting materials to create depth. Throughout her career Fara has been a leading taste maker, sharing her tips and trends with prominent beauty editors.

She has a light-handed aesthetic and has worked on countless campaigns, magazine covers, and fashion shows. With all this meaningful experience under her belt, she has now created her own eponymous line of products: Fara Homidi Beauty.

She is also donating 1% of proceeds from all sales to the Central Asia Institute.
