Ester Expósito‘s ensemble for the premiere of “Black Flies” during this year’s Cannes Film Festival deserves an award on its own. I can say that my soft spot for Versace jumped out as soon as I saw its beading sparkling thanks to the camera flashes.
Ester indeed stunned on the red carpet, wearing an Atelier Versace column dress “crystalized knit” in transparent tulle base with all-over mini crystal construction in net, mini fringe, crystal thread, crystalized knit, and an interplay of Barocco motifs.
The spontaneous shoulder was finished in asymmetric draping; the look was part of the Spring-Summer 2023 collection.
She complemented her outfit with black Versace décolleté platform Aevitas pointy and a Versace Greca Goddess Mini Quilted Crossbody bag.
Additional charme was added to the dress by pairing it with Messika jewelry: a Desert Bloom necklace, 18K white gold Desert Bloom drop earrings, a Desert Bloom Marquise ring and a Wild Moon ring.
Her makeup was updated from day to night by Bosco Montesinos, applying a grey-ish halo of eyeshadow on her lids with the softest touch and finishing off with false lashes cleverly placed on the outer corners of her eyes to make them look bigger and sultrier. The hair was styled in a knotted and intricate slicked back updo by Jesús De Paula, a testament to his versatility and his ability to create little masterpieces for his clients. Ester and the pro have been working a lot together and it is clear that the Spanish actress trusts him and his vision for the best hairstyles that would go well with her looks.
Expósito‘s nails were oval shaped and painted with a bright red nail polish, but we cannot confirm if she did them herself or required the services of a manicurist.
What we do know is that she was styled by Nirave Sanchez in a breathtaking gown, the stylist’s background as a fashion editor has certainly served her well, because this was honestly one of the best dresses I’ve seen during the festival (and I did follow every red carpet so I know).
In a video for Vogue México, the actress mentioned how much she loved the figure hugging nature of the dress and its neckline, we should also say that everything looked like a match made in heaven: from the color of her hair matching the gold part of the dress, to they parts matching her makeup.
We can see that she loves the brand very much, in fact she has worn it several times on other important red carpets such as that of the Venice Film Festival and the Platino Awards.
