I’ve been meaning to write about Emma Roberts 2017’s Oscar moment for some time and since the new year is approaching and the new award season too, it’s time to bring it back.

For the Oscars, Armani supplied Emma with one of his classic gowns from his very first 2005 Privé collection, which debuted in Paris in January 2005. The gown was accessorized with exclusive pieces from Atelier Swarovski Fine Jewelry.

The spaghetti strap couture dress was embroidered with cream crystals and waves of small white jet beads featured in a two-tiered skirt. The plunging bodice was made of jet and black crystal teardrops and was completed with a black satin cummerbund at the waist.

For the occasion, Swarovski created diamonds that were 100% carbon and had the same hardness, brilliance, and fire as natural mined diamonds. The only difference was that the origin was a laboratory and not the earth.

Emma wore the Mosaic earrings and ring from the collection.

The actress partnered with the Red Carpet Green Dress, a female led initiative that promotes responsibility in the fashion industry and sustainable design solutions. Vintage has an important role in the initiative, and the conversation around it began on this exact red carpet.

Roberts‘ makeup was glorious, thanks to the queen Charlotte Tilbury who did the “Holidate” actress makeup herself, here is what she used:

Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Wonderglow‘ Face Primer;
Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Light Wonder‘ Foundation;
Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Filmstar Bronze & Glow‘ countour palette;
Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Eyes To Mesmerise
Long-Lasting Cream Eyeshadow in ‘Bette‘;
Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Eyes To Mesmerise
Long-Lasting Cream Eyeshadow in ‘Jean‘;
Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Colour Chameleon
Eyeshadow Pencil in ‘Bronzed Garnet‘;
Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Lip Cheat‘ Lip Liner in ‘Kiss ‘N’ Tell‘;
Charlotte Tilbury – ‘Matte Revolution‘ Matte Lipstick in ‘Red Carpet Red‘.

Her go-to hairstylist Nikki Lee gave an interview to Esteticamagazine.com where she detailed the hairstyling process for the occasion from coloring to styling. Here you have it:

“I used ABBA Color Protect Shampoo and Conditioner after coloring Emma‘s hair this morning. Since it’s a color protectant, it helped to really lock in her cayenne spice red. First, I lightly towel dried her hair and applied a mixture of ABBA Smoothing Blow Dry Lotion and ABBA Thermal Protect Spray. This combination of products allowed my round brush to glide through her hair nicely and gave it great shine with bounce.

After the blowout, I lightly sprayed ABBA Thermal Protect Spray again, separated Emma‘s hair into the desired deep side part and divided it into three sections to set it: the back and two sides. I started on one side of her head and began wrapping small pieces around a 1″ curling iron from the tip to the root. I secured each piece with a clip to set the curl and repeated on the other side and finished in the back, making sure the hair was curled in the same direction. Once the hair was all set, I let the it set and cool for 15 minutes. I took the set out and started gently brushing with a Mason Pearson Paddle Brush throughout the whole head to create the perfect Hollywood glam. Once I was happy with my shape I locked it in with ABBA Firm Finish Hair Spray.”

According to her manicurist Jenna Hipp and to coincide with Emma‘s participation to the conscious initiative, all the products for her mani/pedi were “green”–Hipp used a deep oxblood nail polish called Marnie from the Jenna Hipp line.
