These days we are digging a little bit into the past by looking at previous events that are confirmed to take place in the next few weeks, today is The Fashion Awards 2022’s turn.

So let’s see what model Elsa Hosk decided to wear for the occasion and why.

For the event, Hosk donned a custom Miu Miu light-blue two-piece dress embellished with crystal floral motif details.

She paired her dazzling ensemble with 18kt rose gold Vhernier Vague Clip earrings, an Al Zain Arabian Deco ring in 18kt white gold and diamonds on her left ring finger, an Anabela Chan 18kt white gold Aqua Peony multi-stone ring on her left index finger and a black Miu Miu matelassé Crystal shoulder bag.

For shoes, she chose a pair of silver Miu Miu metallic crystal-embellished leather ankle-strap sandals accented with crystals across the vamp and pyramid heels (same style as pictured above, not the same color, which in this case was ‘Felce‘).

In an interview for Harper’s Bazaar, the model revealed the inspiration behind the look: “I’m wearing a custom-made Miu Miu outfit. It’s a bra with a matching long skirt, which I feel is so my thing. It’s the Miu Miu we love from the runway, but this time it’s in sparkles – and with the leather belts we’ve seen get popular it makes a really cool contrast. I love the sea-foam green colour; I don’t always wear colour on the red carpet so I’m really excited to be wearing this. We’ve seen Miu Miu everywhere [this year] and my dress is kind of a red carpet version of that.”

She also mused about her styling process and how she gravitated towards her two-piece ensemble: “I’ve always been really specific when it comes to the red carpet; sometimes I even do it on my own. I do all my street style – I don’t have a stylist day-to-day. It’s just really fun for me as I love styling and looking at the runways to see what all the designers come out with every season. So it’s definitely a very close working relationship when I work with my stylist Dani [Michelle].”

“This time, she sent me photos of different looks from different designers and I think she knows me well enough to know that this was the look that I was going to gravitate towards. When it comes to accessories, it was all going to be Miu Miu. With jewellery, we had more freedom, so that was a collaborative process – we try everything on and see what works and what doesn’t. When it comes to hair and make-up, I always start with the outfit and I then I see what’s going to work hair and make-up wise.”

Elsa‘s makeup was courtesy of celebrity MUA Kelly McClain who defined her eyes with a precise trait of black eyeliner, applied on a generous coat of reflective light teal eyeshadow. The pro mentioned using 111SKIN products for her prep, Sweed Lashes to intensify her look and Nars products for her overall glam (no item was specified).

Hairstylist Luke Pluckrose created for her a very elegant updo.

He used Gee Hair 18″ clip-in ‘Volumizer‘ extensions in the shade ‘Gold‘ to add length and thickness to it.

Pluckrose also placed two big strands of hair on her cheekbones, almost completely framing her face for a maximum wow factor.

The blonde beauty also sported a hard gel oval-shaped manicure, courtesy of Tatiana for the Minx Beauty Beverly Hills salon.

I love looking at Elsa Hosk for style inspiration, because hers is timeless and sustainable. She is also one of the few models who can actually shape her own street style without a consultant and who tends to thrift and not buy from high end designers all the time. It is intrinsic to her and one of the many reasons why people love following her.

I often end up scrolling through her feed and even though most of my online time is dedicated to research, I take my time to look at what she does and how she pairs high and low without hesitation.
You can see that she is very intentional with her clothes and she’s very conscious about her impact.

Stylist Dani Michelle‘s youthful but refined/elevated style is definitely what best suits her on the red carpet, where Hosk‘s extremely fashionable alter-ego comes to play.
