After last night’s Golden Globes–and me being wide awake researching every little detail for you–I felt like writing about someone who my readers appreciate a lot: Eiza González.

As you all may know, in proximity to important events I tend to revisit past styles that made an impact on people and the Mexican actress and model looked magnificent while attending last year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Afterparty.

I owed it to you all, so let’s jump right into it.

For the afterparty, González stunned in a silk Oscar de la Renta draped feather embroidered off shoulder gown with sweetheart neckline in sage, paired with bronze satin Jimmy Choo Max platform ankle sandals.

She complemented her ensemble with a Bulgari High Jewelry necklace in rose gold, set with one oval cabochon amethyst (36.55ct), one oval tanzanite cabochon (30.70 ct), one oval cabochon aquamarine (25.45 ct) and pavé-set diamonds (3.15 ct) and a Bulgari High Jewelry ring in rose gold, set with an oval tanzanite (20.23 ct), an amethyst (2.00 ct), a polished sapphire (2.41 ct) and pavé-set diamonds on right index finger.

I can honestly say that the jewels alone were almost one of the true reasons why I wanted to write this article in the first place.

Eiza‘s makeup didn’t need much explanation, celebrity MUA Jose Corella made her lids look as if they were wet by using a shimmery eyeshadow, to make it more chic and refined he also applied a fine trait of black eyeliner along her upper lash line. Rose-y cheeks tied in with her creamy lipstick and the glow applied on her décolletage were the perfect finishing touches.

González‘s hair was styled in an effortless long and wavy do with middle part by Christian Wood, a fitting choice seen the breezy nature of her dress: simple, classy and elegant.

The Mexican beauty also showed up in a light pink, short square manicure.

The “Ambulance” actress was styled once again by Elizabeth Saltzman, who is well known for her no-fuss styling. She often goes for clean and streamlined silhouettes, elevating looks with unexpected jewelry pieces that become the center of attention.

As I always say, her editorial background is a guarantee, and those in the know can sense it from a mile away; it’s a different kind of allure.
