Eiza González made her MET Gala debut in 2018, its theme was: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
She opted for an Atelier Prabal Gurung onyx silk chiffon hand embroidered cross motif column gown, with cutout mako bandeau and alabaster duchess satin extended giumpe train with satin rouleau covered button detail. It was “a celebration of the sisters and their sisterhood—the strong women who lead with integrity and compassion.”
According to the designer, there were 250,000 crystals hand embroidered crosses on the dress and hand stitched buttons on the cape. The embroidery from the Fall 2015 finale served as a strong reference for the gown which was updated for the occasion.
Nail artist Miho Okawara used Nail Labo and Daily Charme products to paint and decorate Eiza‘s nails (check the 2nd and 3d slide for a closer look).
She accessorized the look with Tasaki High Jewelry. It was a white gold and South Sea pearl twisted Aurora choker with sapphires and diamond accents, plus a diamond and tanzanite necklace and earrings.
