We are in full award season, that’s why today we’ll write about the beautiful outfit Eddie Redmayne wore to the 80th Golden Globe Awards, while walking the red carpet with his wife Hannah Bagshawe on January 10, 2023 in Beverly Hills, California.

Redmayne donned a custom Valentino brown tuxedo with shawl collar, flap pockets and silk rosette detail, reminiscent of the designs of the Fall 2022 Couture Collection.

He complimented the look with a pair of matching lace-up shoes with a round toe and an Omega De Ville Trésor watch with a gold case and blue dial.

Eddie‘s groomer of choice was Amy Komorowski, who used the CIRCA 1970 Luxury Face Oil as a base for the makeup.

From her kit–that she shared with her Instagram followers–you could see that she also indulged in a little help from Chanel, Tom Ford and Oribe.

On the red carpet, during an interview with Laverne Cox, Cox described the outfit as “whimsy”, Eddie agreed to the statement, saying: “I love whimsy, whimsy is a good word” and then went on to mention that it was courtesy of Valentino and that the rosette was definitely not something he made himself (apparently someone thought so).

Laverne also thanked him for his support of the trans community.

I think Eddie‘s style has improved exponentially since his collaboration with stylist Harry Lambert. In my opinion, the actor always had potential but never fully explored it or was too shy to try.

Lately he has been playing with silhouettes, colors, prints and garment construction (I specifically loved his Maison Margiela ensemble for the New York screening of “The Good Nurse“).
