Today’s article has been a part of my to-do list for some time and with the Grammy Awards approaching next month, I thought it might be a good idea to scratch it off.

Let’s indulge in some 90’s nostalgia by reminiscing about Dua Lipa attending last year’s Grammys, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

For the red carpet, Dua donned a vintage Versace black bondage long halter dress with gold detailing and back slit from the Fall 1992 Ready-to-Wear collection, paired with black satin Versace Crystal Safety Pin 95mm square-toe sandals encrusted with shimmering tonal crystals on the straps.

Lipa accessorized her ensemble with Bulgari Serpenti platinum and 18k yellow gold diamond earrings with emerald eyes, a Bulgari Serpenti diamond ring in white gold and yellow gold with ruby eyes, another one with emerald eyes and a Versace oval ring covered in diamonds on her left index finger among others.

This time around, Dua opted for a natural makeup. Her MUA Samantha Lau made sure to focus the attention on the musician’s lips by using a red crimson metallic lipstick and applying just a little hint of highlight on the inner corner of Dua‘s eyes.

Paying homage to Donatella Versace and Christy Turlington who wore the same dress in 1992, with the help of hairstylist Chris Appleton, the blonde beauty rocked a long blonde sleek do styled in a center part that covered her back.

Manicurist Kim Truong created a gold chrome manicure for the beloved musician, using OPI products. Of course matching the gold accessories and hardware on Lipa‘s vintage Versace gown.

Here is how she did it (thanks to an article by American Salon):
“- First, she applied OPI GelColor Stay Strong Base Coat followed by two coats of GelColor Black Onyx to create a bold base for a more vivid chrome shine.
– She topped off with a coat of GelColor Chrome Effects Top Coat. Next, using a sponge tip applicator, she rubbed on two layers of Chrome Effects Gold Digger on the entire nail surface, finishing off the entire look with another layer of GelColor Chrome Effects Top Coat.”

Her toe nails were painted with the OPIBig Apple Red’ nail polish.

Dua Lipa and Lorenzo Posocco have always been a match made in heaven. I remember the first time I saw her in her early music videos, wondering who was the person behind her style; that’s how I found out about Posocco (I have always been obsessed with these little details, that’s what made me create this website).

She shifts the fashion conversation and she can wear practically any brand you could name, be them heritage or up-and-coming ones. She doesn’t force it, she enjoys it and it doesn’t ever feel gimmicky.

Posocco‘s eye for fashion is definitely one of our best kept Italian treasures–and I can assure you, I am not patriotic at all.
