Even though in-person events are practically non-existent this year, multiple artists are finding new ways to engage with their audience during these difficult times. The American Music Awards were no exception.

Dua Lipa walked the red carpet directly from London, in a stunning Versace sparkling, crystal-embellished mini dress from the Spring 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection, straight from the runway.

She’s always been a joyous force in the music industry and I expected no less from her and her great team.

Dua accessorized her look with a Versace crystal Greca choker necklace and multiple gold and colorful Versace statement pieces from pins, rings, bracelets to an ankle bracelet on her right ankle. On her feet a pair of Versace metallic platform sandals (like these ones but in a different color).

The singer was nominated in the categories Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock and Favorite Song – Pop/Rock for “Don’t Start Now” in which she won. She also performed the song “Levitating”; you can watch the performance down below (she wore another custom Versace outfit for it).

The American Music Awards (AMAs) is an annual American music awards show, generally held in the fall, created by Dick Clark in 1973 for ABC when the network’s contract to air the Grammy Awards expired.

Until the 2005 edition, both the winners and the nominations were selected by members of the music industry, based on commercial performance, such as sales and airplay. Since the 2006 edition, winners have been determined by a poll of the public and fans, who can vote through the AMAs website.
