Donald McInnes is a world renowned makeup artist and hairstylist.

McInnes has established himself in the world of Hair and Makeup Design for Film, TV & Editorial over the course of the last 15+ years.

When he was young at the age of 16-17 years old, he was a dancer and started enjoying the makeup and hair side of his performances. Seen that one of his friends was already attending the first year of a hair and makeup college he got all the useful information from him.

Donald went to Central College of Commerce in Glasgow and attended courses for Hairdressing and Basic Beauty Makeup at the City & Guilds of London Institute. He was trained in period hair, wig making, unisex cutting, blowdrying and tinting hair. Once he felt confident and gained more experience, he went to Greasepaint in London to study TV, film and theatre makeup. A few years later he went to Neill Gorton‘s studio in Chesham to learn more about sculpting, prosthetic application and materials.

McInnes has worked his way through different fields before becoming who he is today: starting from fashion, then music videos and editorials. Always assisting the best, keeping a humble attitude.

His movie credits include working as personal hair and makeup designer for Benedict Cumberbatch in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness“, “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain“, “The Courier“, “Avengers: Endgame“, “Avengers: Infinity War“, “The Current War” and hairstylist to James Corden in “The Prom” and “Mammals“.

He also worked for One Direction, Placebo, Will Young, McFly, Suede, Busted, Boy George, Oasis, Massive Attack and many more.
