César DeLeön Ramîrez is a freelance hairstylist.
DeLeön Ramîrez grew up between New York City and the island of Puerto Rico amidst hairspray and rollers in his family’s hair salon. An artistic maverick, César was determined to carve a long lasting space for himself within the beauty and fashion world early on. César assisted and trained with top hairstylists, including Ruth Roche, Jo Blackwell-Preston, Orlando Pita, Julien d’Ys and Guido Palau.
While training at Dop Dop salon in 2001 he began building his portfolio. After landing his first celebrity Elizabeth Berkley and then Cassie, the rest followed, filling César’s book with accomplished and well-known figures.
César is most known today for his work on celebrities including Ciara, Christina Aguilera, Normani, Beyoncé, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Kehlani, Russell Wilson, Becky G, Laverne Cox, Erika Jayne, Solange, Rita Ora and many more.
With over 24 years of experience in the industry, his looks have been seen on TV shows like The X-Factor, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Ellen, So You Think You Can Dance, RuPaul’s Drag Race, America’s Most Musical Family to name a few.
Beyond his celebrity work, César has collaborated extensively with a myriad of high-end brands.
His work adorns hundreds of covers and spreads including W Magazine, Elle, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Latina, i-D, Vanity Fair among others.
He has also garnered recognition for the impeccable vision he brings to NYFW runways, where he has worked with fashion forward designers like Victor De Sousa, Carlos Campos, Michael Costello and Marco Marco just to name a few.
César has been recognized by the industry’s leading media outlets, where he has earned “Best Hair” for his work on red carpets like that of the MET Gala for several years.
Some of his career highlights include achieving the position of Creative Director at Dop Dop Salon in NYC, Global Artistic Director for L’Oréal’s multi-texture brand Mizani, winner of the Stacy Morris Hair Styling award at the 2020 Hollywood Beauty Awards, becoming the Brand Ambassador for the brand John Paul Mitchell and he’s even co-created his own progressive lifestyle beauty brand celebrating hair pieces, wigs, accessories and more called WILDFORM.
