Let’s start the week with a fan favorite: Benedict Cumberbatch. The “The Power of the Dog” actor looked dapper for the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” Los Angeles Premiere held at The Regency Village Theatre on December 13, 2021.
For the premiere, Cumberbatch donned a dark blue Armani single-breasted suit, accompanied by a white men’s shirt underneath and a matching dark blue tie.
His accessories consisted of a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar watch in stainless steel and Persol PO3265S sunglasses with transparent frames and light pink lenses–black lace-ups with a slightly round toe finished off the look.
As the Quill & Pad online magazine reported, the choice of the watch was probably not accidental and had way more thought behind it than it seemed and was probably related to the watch he wore the night he lost the use of his hands due to a car accident in the movie “Doctor Strange“.
“The good doctor was an ultra-successful and ultra-ambitious neurosurgeon who becomes a powerful sorcerer after a car accident robs him of the use of his hands.
Before his life-altering trauma, the title character, played by an absolutely brilliant Cumberbatch, had a definite penchant for the finer things in life–including an ill-fated Lamborghini and a dresser drawer full of fine watches neatly stowed in winder cuffs. The watch he selected to wear on the fateful evening was a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual. As we discovered during the film, this watch had special meaning for him on several levels, engraved as it was with a dedication on the back: ‘Time will tell you how much I love you, Christine‘.”
Dr. Christine Palmer is Dr. Stephen Strange‘s girlfriend, played by Rachel McAdams.
Makeup artist and hairstylist Donald McInnes used Charlotte Tilbury products to even out the actor’s face, specifically: the Magic Cream, Wonderglow primer, Flawless Finish powder and The Retoucher concealer (shades were not specified).
Spider-Man: No Way Home is a 2021 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing.
It is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and is the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
In the movie, Benedict plays Dr. Stephen Strange, who gets asked by Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) to help him make everyone forget he is Spider-Man after Quentin Beck/Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed everyone his identity.
