It’s a hot Summer Monday and as many of you know, I like translating feelings into visuals and the perfect occasion to do it was to write about fashion model Bella Hadid attending this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Hadid donned a light brown Saint Laurent see through dress with plunging neckline from the Fall 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection, complemented with a pair of burnt orange patent leather Saint Laurent Edie Peep Toe ankle sandals.

She also paired her ensemble with Chopard yellow diamond earrings, multiple matching yellow diamond rings and in some paparazzi shots, she was also seen carrying a glossed croc-effect Saint Laurent leather clutch.

Bella was made up by Palestinian makeup artist Nadia Tayeh, a meaningful camaraderie gesture during these difficult times (that we hope are going to end soon).

Tayeh went for lightly filled in brows and a soft blown out brownish smokey eye, smoked out prominently on the lower lash line. A nude gloss sealed the deal.

Bryce Scarlett styled her hair in side parted soft waves, to match the sensual but ethereal vibes of her dress; her manicurist for the occasion, Emi Kudo, tried to match the Orebella founder’s nails with it too but by painting them with a light brown shade which Bella apparently chose herself (according to Vogue Arabia).

Here is the list of products used and a little tutorial for you, courtesy of Emi Kudo (edited for clarity):

1. I blended her cuticle growth line of a previous set of Gel X with ‘Cuticle Bit‘ from Aprés.
2. I buffed the surface of the set, cleansed with wipes, then applied one coat of ‘Gel Coat‘ and cured.
3. I custom mixed ‘Twin Flames‘, ‘This Lifetime‘ and ‘Cardinal‘ from the AprésChocolate PaletteValentine’s Day Palette‘ to create a perfect cafe au lait color to match her gown, and applied it on her base gel cured nails, then cured.
4. I applied ‘Top Gelcoat‘ then cured.
5. I applied AprésSpring Steps‘ Cuticle Oil for moisturizing and extra shine.

Hadid was styled by Molly Dickson, a new collaborator since her departure from Mimi Cuttrell.

Before working with Dickson, the model used to style herself alone while trying to find herself again, but she now probably has too many things on her plate and doing it all was something difficult to do during busy times (especially sourcing vintage outfits, which Hadid loves a lot).

I can see Bella styling herself in her off time though, because she has a sense of what she likes and what she doesn’t, but I do also appreciate Dickson‘s fresh new take on her, without disrespecting the incredible outfits Bella and Cuttrell pulled off together.

What can I say? Bella will always land on her feet.
