Actor Barry Keoghan is having a ball on the red carpet and after the successes of “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Saltburn” there is apparently nothing that can stop him.

Style-wise he has given us some of the best and most interesting looks in menswear to date and it is with great pleasure that today I’ll write about what he wore to the London premiere of his latest project: the series “Masters of the Air” for AppleTV+.

For the occasion, Keoghan wore a petrol blue Burberry Kingfisher Snug wool mohair knit vest and dark brown wool trousers from the Pre-Fall 2024 collection, paired with grey chunky shoes.

The ultimate touch of class was his Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronometer in Sedna gold with a diamond-paved bezel on his left wrist.

A sad fact I found out about this ensemble is related to the silver bracelet he wore on his right wrist. If you look closely, you can see that there’s the name “Debbie” engraved on it, and coincidentally it is also his late mother’s name who he lost to an overdose when he was just a child.

According to an interview for Esquire from last year, he was choosing the costume for a movie when he found it: “He poked around, saw a cross, okay, saw a bracelet, picked up the bracelet, turned the bracelet over, saw an engraving. Froze. Asked the prop stylist: What’s this engraving? The stylist said, We don’t know. We bought it at some auction.

The engraving said DEBBIE.

—I said, That’s my mother’s name. Debbie. Aight? That’s crazy, innit? That’s a sign. That is a feckin’ sign! That day alone is like… So I kept it. They were like, Where’s the bracelet? I’s like, I’m keepin’ that.”

The bracelet makes him feel her close and gives him comfort.

His grooming and hairstyling was courtesy of Stephen Beaver, who used Decorté beauty products to even out his skin and make it look glowy, plus Aunthentic Beauty Concept products for his haircare.

For those who still don’t know it, Barry is styled by Ilaria Urbinati, who he got to meet thanks to Urbinati‘s husband Johnny Hunt, who is the actor’s boxing trainer.

I can’t say how many times I saw people drooling online, praising his stylist’s skills during his recent press tours (but we already knew she was great, we also wrote about it here). And I must say that it felt refreshing to see risky–or risqué–styling choices in relation to a man.

Many times we see men wearing suits, but with Keoghan we saw him also baring some skin for the Los Angeles premiere of the series. When was actually the last time you saw a man’s belly button compared to that of a woman? I bet you can’t even remember the last time you did and this should tell you something about the disparities there are in our society.

Keoghan is a multifaceted actor and I am amazed by his career progression.

On the topic of coincidences: maybe it was truly fate that made his collaboration with Urbinati possible, so let’s see what the future will bring.
