Austin Butler–who was recently cast to play Elvis Presley in the new Buz Luhrmann‘s biopic–was also present at the Los Angeles premiere for the movie Once Upon A Time in Hollywood (July 2019).

To join him on the red carpet was also his (then) long-time girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens who proudly gushed over him all the time. Austin said multiple times that he felt so honored to work with such a talented director for this film—Quentin Tarantino—him being a long-time fan.

He wore a very smart and sleek black Brioni Essential wool and silk tuxedo that accentuated his slim figure paired with black Chelsea boots, everything mixed with his mysterious charisma and that fresh out the shower look that definitely earned him the role in his next movie.

In the movie, Austin plays Tex (Charles Denton “Tex” Watson Jr.) who is an American murderer who was a central member of the “Manson Family” led by Charles Manson. On August 9, 1969, Watson and other Manson followers murdered pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four other people at 10050 Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles. The next night, Watson traveled to Los Feliz, Los Angeles, and participated in the murders of Leno and Rosemary LaBiancaWatson was found guilty of murder and imprisoned in 1971.

He is still incarcerated, he was given the death penalty which was then commuted to life in prison.
