A$AP Rocky at The Fashion Awards 2024

Let’s analyze together what the incredible American rapper and fashion guru A$AP Rocky wore to the Fashion Awards 2024.

If there is a person who is at the forefront of the fashion conversation, that individual is A$AP Rocky.

I cannot even begin to tell you the obstacles I face every time I want to write about menswear–you probably have already read me vent about it previously–because there is little information and an overall lack of good styling choices that are worth your time.

With Rocky, the mood is different, and I needed to check some details regarding his glam team for the British Fashion Awards last year, because sometimes people do not share everything they work on, so it’s up to me following the good and reliable sources that share that kind of information.

For the award show, Rocky donned a dark blue (the name of the shade is ‘Eclipse‘) Bottega Veneta wool grain de poudre blouson with matching pants, from the Resort 2025 collection, complemented with a white men’s shirt underneath and a brick leather tie from the Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection.

He accessorized his fit with a 2.5 carat bespoke Pandora Lab-Grown diamond earring on his right ear, black leather Bottega Veneta loafers and a pair of Ray-Ban Mega Clubmaster sunglasses with a tortoiseshell frame and gold accents.

A$AP‘s intricate braids were courtesy of Tashana Miles, who has proudly been working with him for the last three years. Braiding is not an easy job and it very rarely gets credited online but I remember that when I saw the Black entertainer attending the Gucci Fall-Winter 2023 runway show in Milan I was very curious about his hair because I distinctly remember that he had the Gucci logo braided into his hair and that’s when I discovered Tashana‘s work.

As a white person, I find braiding extremely fascinating because that’s not necessarily a part of my culture but the art that goes behind it and the dedication that it requires is something that people should appreciate more, because it tells you a lot about the connection some people feel to their roots and the intrinsic societal meaning it has for them.

I cannot conclude this article without singing the praises of A$AP‘s stylist Matthew Henson, someone who I would describe as a visionary for what he brings to the table and the impact he indirectly has on society and culture by dressing entertainers such as Rocky or The Weeknd.

In this case, A$AP‘s synergy with Bottega Veneta is on full display, the brand is like a second skin for him and it’s clear as day that the Italian brand serves as his new wardrobe for every occasion–and dare we say: he looks incredibly good in their creations.

It remains to be seen what he’ll be up to now that Bottega Veneta has a new creative director: Louise Trotter, these are very big shoes to fill.

The 2024’s edition was presented by Pandora and it took place on Monday 2nd December 2024, returning to the iconic London venue, the Royal Albert Hall.
