Anya Taylor-Joy is a talented actress whose performances I deeply admire. Style-wise, she is the dream of many high fashion brands.

Today we’ll analyze her structured outfit for the London premiere of her latest movie, “The Menu“.

For the event, Anya donned a magnificent Alexander McQueen blue corset dress with an asymmetric drape skirt and opera gloves from the Spring 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection.

The blonde beauty accessorized the ensemble with black Christian Louboutin So Kate patent leather stiletto heels and a Jaeger-LeCoultre 101 Reine watch in white gold and diamonds.

As always, Georgie Eisdell did her makeup, keeping the actress’ skin clean and even, focusing the attention on the eyes with a smokey look, pretty much in line with the strong vibe of the dress.

Her hair was courtesy of Gregory Russell who styled it in a deep side part, and kept it together on her left side by securing it with several gold bobby pins that mixed with her hair color. The soft waves made the look more romantic and counterbalanced everything perfectly.

Anya‘s nails were courtesy of Chisato Yamamoto, but were sadly hidden under the gloves.

What I think about the look is that she paid homage to a British brand by opting for Alexander McQueen (which is always a good idea), and I associate the nature of her dress with the sanitary aspect of the hospitality industry (hence the gloves).

We should also mention that stylist Ryan Hastings is one of the best at dressing his clients in dark, romantic ensembles with an edge and I love what he has been doing lately with Anya, Taylor Russell and Vanessa Kirby.
