Anton Khachaturian is a Los Angeles based makeup artist who has been working in the industry since the age of eighteen. He started his career as an artist for MAC Cosmetics where he facilitated a variety of different make-up seminars, worked closely with the training team, and sought out many freelance jobs on his own. During this time, he had the opportunity to work under world-renowned make-up artist James Ryder, where he developed his skills to successfully complete film and television projects.
Anton graduated from Arizona State University where he earned a Bachelor’s in Women and Gender Studies as well as a minor in Spanish. College granted him several life changing opportunities. He completed an internship at the Southwest Center for HIV and AIDS, where he worked with individuals affected and infected by the virus. At the same clinic, he worked closely with a trans youth group as an outreach mentor. He even had the chance to work in a women’s penitentiary and learn about the prison system during his undergraduate program. Shortly after graduating, Anton landed his biggest job so far. He was hired to design the makeup for the cast of Glee for their national tour.
Upon relocating to Los Angeles, he was selected to be featured talent on the third season of RuPaul’s Drag-U. In the season premiere, he did an on-camera makeup tutorial on the female contestants. It wasn’t long before he landed another television gig as a makeover expert on TLC’s Style by Jury.
He most recently was featured as a judge on the Facebook Watch show Beauty School Knockout, hosted by Vanessa Lachey.
He has had the privilege of working with such celebrities as Lana Condor, Tia Mowry, Selma Blair, Zoe Saldana, Pamela Anderson, and many others.
