Alyx Liu (all pronouns) is a hairstylist based in Los Angeles with experience in editorial, commercial, television and music.
Most recently, he has returned from the Holy Fvck Tour with Demi Lovato; and has previously traveled with Ariana Grande on the Dangerous Woman, Sweetener and Thank You Next world tours.
Trained by the renowned Toni + Guy Hairdressing Academy, Alyx has trained under celebrity hairstylists from Chris Appleton, Christian Wood, Anthony Turner, Rob Talty, John Ruggiero, Anna Cofone, Dennis Gots, among others.
Hair has always been a passion for Alyx. Their vision for hair is unique in that it is ART. Hair is simply a different medium with the client being the canvas, in which Alyx expresses their creativity drawing inspiration from fashion, nature and architecture.
Prior to working in hair, they graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.A in Public Relations and worked in Talent Publicity as an Assistant Publicist for a year and a half at ID Public Relations.
After much reflection, they decided to pursue their true passion and dream of becoming a hairstylist.
Alyx also comes from a background in the fine arts, taking courses at The Art Center College of Design.
The pro continues to educate theirselves through masterclasses to exercise their creativity and learn the latest in techniques, fashion, trends and design to provide their clients+projects with unique and innovative looks.
