Alexa Demie at “Euphoria” Season 3 Premiere – LA

The acclaimed HBO series “Euphoria” is finally back, with a time jump and also with its controversies, making it a topic of conversation on and offline.

What I always look for though, are the fashion choices made by the cast during the press tour for it, and this Thursday I focused my attention on Alexa Demie, specifically because she wore an ensemble that you don’t see on the red carpet too often.

Let’s understand together why, then.

For the Los Angeles premiere, Demie donned a vintage Bob Mackie striped dress with a plunging neckline from the Fall 1991 collection, sourced from Aralda Vintage.

Fun fact about the dress: it was originally worn by Bette Midler when she posed for the cover of Vanity Fair in December 1991, styled by Marina Schiano (makeup by Eugenia Weston, hairstylist Roberto Ramos).

She accessorized the look with a pair of black Christian Louboutin Erozee 100mm pointy leather ankle pumps, Anita Ko Claw 18kt gold earrings with diamonds and an Anita Ko large baguette diamond choker in 18k gold.

People were stunned when they saw the actress on the red carpet, because she traded the heavy makeup that she had on for the last press tour, for a light one.

I can recognize a soft hand and a precise style of makeup when I see it and I wasn’t surprised once I realized that Alexa was made up by Emily Cheng because I already admire her work on Billie Eilish and Gracie Abrams, and if there is something you know about those two, is the fact that their skin is flawless, never cake-y and luminous, exactly like Demie‘s.

Her hair was styled in soft beachy waves by Kate Schlichter, almost giving us the idea that the actress spent the day at the beach, enjoying the sun and the salty breeze.
