Alex Babsky is a native Londoner, self-taught makeup artist who initially studied fashion at London’s prestigious St. Martins College of Art, and looking to push his creativity further, he began making up the models he was dressing in his designs.
Enjoying the immediacy of this new-found medium, Alex became more involved in makeup artistry & never looked back.
Since then, Alex has built up an impressive body of work, having shot with distinguished photographers such as Steven Klein, Nick Knight, Sølve Sundsbø, Patrick Demarchelier, Bruce Weber, Mariano Vivanco, Ellen Von Unwerth, Juergen Teller, Mario Sorrenti, Josh Olins & Paola Kudacki to name a few, & for publications such as Vogue (UK, Japan, Spain, Korea, Australia, Turkey) i-D, Harper’s Bazaar, Porter, Madame Figaro, Paper, The Edit, S Moda, Glamour UK, AnOther, Grazia, Sunday Times Style, Vanity Fair Spain, Visionaire, Elle & Instyle among others.
The finish & attention to detail in Alex’s makeup, coupled with his calm & easy-going nature has earned him a loyal celebrity clientele.
