Today I wanted to introduce you to an actor whose star is on the rise: Damson Idris.
I’ve been keeping an eye on him for some time and I recognized his clean and classic style that I would love to talk to you about today.
Let’s see together what he wore to this year’s annual Academy Museum Gala.
For the event, Idris donned a custom Prada light blue mohair suit probably inspired by a design from the Fall-Winter 2025 collection, a white poplin shirt underneath it, a Prada black tie and black Prada brushed leather double monk strap shoes.
To further add a touch of decadence, the actor opted for pieces from his own fine jewelry line Didris: two Monogram Cuffs, a Baguette Ring with Tourmaline on his right middle finger and a 8MM Band on his left middle finger.
Damson‘s grooming was courtesy of Jessica Smalls who kept his skin supple and luminous and who made sure that his natural hair was kept in place and groomed to perfection.
The “F1” actor is a Prada Ambassador and I assume he collaborated directly with the brand for the styling of this look, because I couldn’t find any mention of another person involved in the getting ready process.
All in all, what I can say is that Idris seems to prefer classical subdued elegance, enhanced with statement pieces that elevate his looks to new heights.

The Academy Museum Gala is an event dedicated to celebrating the art and history of film.
This year they honored Bruce Springsteen, Penélope Cruz, Bowen Yang and Walter Salles on October 18, 2025.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the gala raised more than $12 million to support the exhibitions, education initiatives and public programming at the L.A. museum, which opened in 2021.
