Paul Mescal at “Aftersun” Red Carpet – TIFF 2022

“Aftersun” was an authentic surprise to me, I started watching the movie without expectations and I almost ended up in tears. Paul Mescal‘s subsequent award nominations were the obvious consequence of his talent, that we are proud to support and encourage.

One of the film’s first screenings took place during the Toronto International Film Festival last year, and we’d like to let you in on all the details regarding the Canadian premiere.

For the event, Mescal donned a Gucci sartorial look comprising of a light blue single breasted jacket, a white Gucci Monogram silk shirt (the one pictured below is gray but it’s the same model), paired with Gucci blue straight-leg logo-appliquéd webbing-trimmed wool and mohair-blend twill trousers.

To complete the look, he opted for a pair of Gucci Ed Horsebit leather loafers and a Cartier Santos-Dumont watch with navy blue alligator-skin strap and steel case.

Groomer/hairstylist Nadia Altinbas made sure the “Normal People” actor looked his best, prepping his skin and doing his makeup with 111Skin and Gucci Beauty products with a little help from Dyson to give his hair more definition.

Knowing about Paul‘s stylist Felicity Kay editorial background, his red carpet attire gives an idea about the Irish actor’s penchant for elegant, streamlined looks with a pop of color from time to time.

For this specific event we can’t help but swoon looking at the color of his eyes, perfectly mirrored in the color of his ensemble. All the complementary shades of blue present in the look were carefully selected and never left to chance.

Aftersun is a 2022 drama film written and directed by Charlotte Wells.

Set in the early 2000s, the film follows Sophie, an 11-year-old Scottish girl, on vacation with her father at a Turkish resort on the eve of his 31st birthday.

Paul Mescal stars as Calum Paterson, the father of Sophie Paterson (played by Frankie Corio).
