Elle Fanning‘s dress for this year’s LACMA Art + Film Gala was the stuff of dreams and although we keep away from writing about black outfits (not because we don’t love them, but because there are too many) as much as we can, there was no escaping this.
Fanning looked magnificent in a custom Gucci black chiffon cutout backless gown probably inspired by a silk chiffon dress with floral bouquet appliquΓ© detail, paired with black Gucci Angel leather platform pumps, a Gucci GG Marmont gold clutch and multiple Gucci rings.

The risquΓ© ensemble was a feast for the eyes, the juxtaposition of her very innocent face, with a bloody lip and see-through fabrics was the perfect touch for an event such as the Gala.
What’s great about Elle is that she doesn’t care about what people think of her style choices, she risks it all for the fun and stylist Samantha McMillen is that playful companion and cheerleader always there for the ride.
I would wear that dressβand those shoesβin a heartbeat.

Notables from the art, film, fashion, and entertainment industries gather at LACMA for this Gala which honors influential artists.
Proceeds go toward underwriting LACMAβs initiative to make film more central to the museumβs curatorial programming, while also funding LACMAβs broader mission. This includes exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming that explore the intersection of art and film.
LACMA Productions is an award-winning extension of the museumβs film initiative. Over the last years, along with the establishment of the Art+Film initiative, LACMA has dedicated resources to producing a series of short documentary films on artists. Commissioned from emerging and mid-career filmmakers, the museumβs short documentaries have earned official selections at leading international film festivals.
