Gianpaolo Ceciliato was born and raised in Milan, where he grew up immersed in the world of makeup, fashion & beauty. His mother was a representative for Avon, and since a young age, Gianpaolo had the opportunity to watch her transform women with the touch of a makeup brush. He trained rigorously in Milan and was soon working regularly with Italy’s most iconic fashion houses, including Valentino, Armani, and Versace.
After many years spent honing his craft in Italy, Gianpaolo brought his talents overseas to New York City. Since his arrival in the U.S. more than a decade ago, Gianpaolo has become one of the most well-known and beloved makeup artists in the industry. His precise makeup technique and affable personality immediately caught the eyes ofleading photographers, publications, and clients, including brands such as L’Oréal, Maybelline, and Tom Ford, which have called on him to create timeless beauty looks for their brands.
Gianpaolo has collaborated with world renowned photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Shining, Jason Kim, and Michael Schwartz.
His makeup has graced the pages of British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Marie Claire Italia, L’Officiel, and Paper Magazine, among others.
Taking inspiration from his travel around the world, Gianpaolo has mastered the ability to intertwine his classic training with an edge to turn his client’s vision into a reality.
The resurgence of actors as icons of fashion introduced Gianpaolo to the Hollywood scene, where he has become a household name among Hollywood’s resident A-listers.
