Kunakey was born in Toulouse, her father Robin is Togolese and her mother Nadia (born Di Vita) is Sicilian. She has a brother named Zakari born in 2000 and a sister named Kassy.
Her father was born in Morocco and moved to France, her parents met in Toulouse. She spent her adolescence in Biarritz until she was 15.
Tina studied at the Victor Louis de Talence High School, at the André Malraux de Biarritz High School and then at the French High School in Madrid.
She signed a contract with Mad Models Management, a Spanish model agency based in Barcelona when she first started her modeling career.
