Jason Momoa put gender stereotypes to rest once again for the 2019 premiere of Apple TV+‘s “See” at the Fox Village Theater on October 21, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. Strongly in contrast to the macho image he projects, that light pink suit clearly was the protagonist of the night.

For the occasion, Momoa wore a silk rose gold Tom Ford suit from the Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection (in a color slightly different from the one on the runway), a see-through tee underneath, with a pair of light grey suede Christian Louboutin boots.

Worth mentioning how the star accessorized the look with numerous and meaningful pieces from different designers: a ring from Leroy’s Wooden Tattoos, an Into the Fire skull wing ring and a Death from Above half jaw skull ring, a teal Richard Baggett Studios bracelet and an Ossua Et Acroamata hand carved lion head ring.

The most important was a custom designed Amie Hertzig necklace donated to Momoa as a gift by his wife Lisa Bonet–according to the jewelry designer: “Woven together with ahimsa silk and other all natural ancient fibers, frankincense anointed beeswax… the palette of pink and lilac (corundum, raw rubies and sapphires with turquoise) is a truly sublime frequency and so inspiring to work with. […] Deep bow and warm embrace to @prideofgypsies (editor’s note: Jason on Instagram) and your supreme queen. Much respect for representing pachamama and making pink cool for all genders.”

Pachamama is a goddess revered by the indigenous people of the Andes. She is also known as the earth/time mother. In Inca mythology, Pachamama is a fertility goddess who presides over planting and harvesting, embodies the mountains, and causes earthquakes.

As for his groomer, I assume it was his personal makeup artist/hairstylist Jennifer Stanfield, who works for him on and off the screen. If you want some examples, you can see her work on him in Aquaman and Frontier.

I will be glad to update this article in case I find out more information about the topic.

See is an American science fiction drama streaming television series produced for Apple TV+. The series premiered on November 1, 2019, and it has been renewed for a second season.

Set in a dystopian future, the human race has lost the sense of sight, and society has had to find new ways to interact, build, hunt, and to survive. All of that is challenged when a set of twins is born with sight (Kofun and Haniwa).

In the series, Momoa plays the character of Baba Voss, a warrior and leader of the Alkenny tribe—adopted father of the twins.
