Jared donned a custom Gucci blue velvet shawl lapel jacket and matching pants with a sheer wraparound cream shirt, white leather boots and a silver crystal-embellished anatomical heart-shaped clutch.

He completed his look with a necklace from the Gucci High Jewelry Hortus Deliciarum collection among other statement pieces.

The Gucci MX line from which apparently the look took inspiration from, is a genderless shopping category on the Gucci website. The pieces are presented by gender-neutral models.

According to the website: “The House’s collections emphasize the dissolving lines of the gender divide in the name of self-expression. […] Playing with the constructive nature of gender, the MX project underlines the performative nature of what we wear, presenting masculinity and femininity as relative concepts.”

There is absolutely no wonder in seeing someone like Jared Leto sport such pieces defined by these important core values.

Leto‘s makeup and skin were courtesy of groomer Lucy Halperin while hairstylist Larry King created texture and structure in his hair by using Larry King Haircare ‘A Social Life for Your Hair‘ cream, some Redken ‘All Soft‘ oil and a Dyson Hair Corrale hair straightener.

House of Gucci is a 2021 American biographical crime drama film directed by Ridley Scott. It is based on the 2001 book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden.

In the movie, Jared Leto plays the role of Paolo Gucci, an Italian businessman and fashion designer. His father Aldo Gucci was the son of Guccio Gucci. He was the one-time chief designer and vice-president of Gucci and is credited with helping design Gucci‘s double G logo.

He went bankrupt in 1993 and died of chronic hepatitis at age 64 in 1995.
