Life is about contrasts and I think singer-songwriter and actress Olivia Rodrigo embodies it in her own unique way.

She has a rocker soul in her petite body, through which she channels emotions that many of her peers feel as their own, and I personally love when you can peel the layers of a person, to discover that they have much more to offer than what meets the eye.

On this freezing Tuesday, I then decided to analyze what she wore to this year’s Academy Museum Gala.

For the occasion, Rodrigo donned a Giorgio Armani PrivΓ© white beaded gilet with black flower detail and a black silk satin skirt from the Spring-Summer 2005 collection.

She completed her ensemble with Stuart Weitzman shoes, a pair of Chopard High Jewelry round diamond earrings, a Chopard L’Heure du Diamant ring on her left middle finger and what seemed to be a Chopard Ice Cube ring on her right middle finger.

Her makeup was courtesy of Samantha Lau who opted for a simple thin flick of black eyeliner, a bit of sparkly eyeshadow strategically placed on the inner corners of the eyes to make them appear bigger and a terracotta juicy lipstick to give life to the face.

Olivia‘s hair was styled by Owen Gould in her tried and tested soft, side parted long, slightly wavy do, gently caressing one of her shoulders.

Manicurist Yoko Sakakura painted Rodrigo‘s nails with a light pink nail polish, keeping up with the angelic vibe of her ensemble.

Once again, the “obsessed” singer was styled by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo who put the singer in a vintage fit that feels young, carefree but also elegant and poised, perfectly in line with Olivia‘s love for timeless pieces but also with the stylists’ own ability to pull from the best archives available to them without ever coming off as gimmicky or out of time.
