Lili Pauline Reinhart was born September 13, 1996 and is an American actress, known for portraying Betty Cooper on The CW drama series Riverdale.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in the nearby town of Bay Village. She developed a love for singing, acting, and dancing at the age of 10, and begged her mom to drive her to New York for auditions.
Reinhart moved to Los Angeles when she was 18 years old to pursue acting and almost gave up after five months.
Lili guest starred on the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and starred in the television pilot for Scientastic! Reinhart also starred in the films Lilith (2011), Not Waving But Drowning (2012), The Kings of Summer (2013), Gibsonburg (2013), Forever’s End (2013), Miss Stevens (2016), and The Good Neighbor (2016).
Previously, Reinhart worked on the Fox sitcom Surviving Jack.
Among her film roles, Reinhart starred in Mélanie Laurent’s Galveston (2018), alongside Ben Foster and Elle Fanning, and in Lorene Scafaria’s Hustlers (2019), alongside Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, Cardi B and Constance Wu. On June 14, 2019, it was announced that Reinhart will star as Grace Town in Richard Tanne’s film Chemical Hearts, opposite Austin Abrams as Henry Page. Chemical Hearts will be distributed by Amazon Studios and is Reinhart’s film debut as an executive producer.
On October 8, 2019, it was announced that Reinhart will publish a book of poems called Swimming Lessons: Poems. Reinhart stated she decided she wanted to share her poetry with the world despite her fear of doing so and that her own experiences inspired the collection. The book explores young love and anxiety and depression in the face of fame.
Reinhart is very open about her struggles with depression, and says that Riverdale came into her life when she was in a very dark place.
