Julie Ragolia is renowned internationally for her work as a fashion stylist and consultant.
Ragolia is a philosophy and photography graduate, (after realizing that NYU was not a good fit for her) who began her career in fashion by styling shoots for her roommate at Brooklyn College. Her first job experience was as staff stylist for MTV.
While seeking for agency representation, she was suggested to apply for an assistant role to W Magazine’s then Fashion Director Alex White, it was there that she understood which was her true call and that fashion is indeed an art form.
Her approach is strikingly modern, rooted in documentary and observation; creating a distinct effect across editorial stories, fashion shows, advertising campaigns and the red carpet.
Born in Brooklyn, New York to modest means, art was a way forward. Her desire to understand her own life story compels her deep interest in subject, identity, and the manner in which clothing can define, enhance or recreate one’s self.
Julie has worked with such prominent photographers as Craig McDean, Vanina Sorrenti, Josh Olins, Ben Weller and Eddie Wrey, amongst others, and has contributed to such titles as Fantastic Man, Purple, WSJ, various International Vogues and L’Uomo Vogue.
Julie currently styles for such brands as Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, and collaborates with artists such as Riz Ahmed and LaKeith Stanfield on visual messaging as relates to their film and music work.
Julie divides her time between New York, London and Milan.
