George Northwood began his hairdressing career several years ago.
His instinctive understanding and feel for hair enabled him to rise through the ranks of hairdressing quickly, eventually working as a Creative Director in some of London’s most prestigious salons.
The George Northwood salon on Wells Street, W1 is his first solo venture following demand from celebrity clients and magazine editors to bring his unique sense of style to the London beauty scene.
His salon is a holistic, healthy space for hair where beauty fits into lifestyle. It is this philosophy that has also led the salon to become the first Pureology flagship salon.
George wanted it to be a home away from home for his clients, taking inspiration from the world of fashion, art and beauty and mixing it with a handpicked edit of the best hairstylists and colorists in London.
All hairstylists are trained following the unique George Northwood methodology to create bespoke cuts with an instinctive understanding of hair and fashion. They offer bespoke color and balayage color menus headed up by Sally Northwood using ammonia free color from Redken.
In short their aim is to create hair that makes you happy.
You could also have complimentary coffee, tea and treats with every appointment including occasional home-made bakes by Mrs Northwood.
George is passionate and committed to both his salon and session work which includes magazine editorials for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle.
He is Meghan Markle’s go-to hairstylist.
