Ernesto Casillas is a Los Angeles based makeup artist who began his career as a photographer.
His Studio Art degree from CSU Long Beach helped develop his skills and hone his eye for color theory and lighting.
His time working as a photographer and assisting other makeup artists made him aware of the lack of options for women of color in makeup, which drove him to work to expand the standards of beauty to help all women feel beautiful.
Casillas’s work has appeared on celebrities such as Doja Cat, Queen Latifah, Mel B, Ashanti, Jennifer Hudson, Ayo Edebiri, Zendaya, Tiffany Haddish and Jadyn Douglas to name a few.
