Hence why today we’ll be talking about Dove Cameron attending this year’s Billboard Women in Music event.

For the occasion, Cameron wore a custom Jacquemus khaki green one-shoulder bustier dress with a wraparound skirt from the Spring 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection.

She accessorized the look with black Giuseppe Zanotti Tarifa platform peep toe sandals and a Djula full pavé Barbelé ring set with diamonds.

Dove‘s makeup was a true Autumn feast: her makeup artist Alexandra French–truly known for her avant-garde creations on Euphoria and on her Instagram feed–created a light brown eyeliner matched perfectly with the entertainer’s glossy pout. A hint of gold on the inner corner of the eyes and a fine trait of brown eye pencil kept the look light and earthy.

Hairstylist Graham Nation styled Cameron‘s hair in two separate long, thick tresses, leaving some tendrils to gently frame the entertainer’s face for the most delicate effect. The pro mentioned using Sexy Hair products to achieve the look.

Dove is used to change stylists pretty frequently and this time she required the services of Heather Picchiottino. Knowing that the entertainer is someone with a clear vision, it is no wonder that she often collaborates with costume designers such as Heather to translate her thoughts into clothes.

It is something that I commend because to me it means that you have an input in what you wear and you are not just a pawn in the fashion system, you actually collaborate with your peers and you are not a victim of sponsorships and contracts (and those factors play huge roles on the red carpet nowadays and keep out a lot of the fun in my opinion).

Billboard Women in Music is an annual event held by Billboard.

Its main award is titled Woman of the Year, established to recognize “women in the music industry who have made significant contributions to the business and who, through their work and continued success, inspire generations of women to take on increasing responsibilities within the field”, according to the magazine.
