Dawson Hiegert is a freelance hairstylist.
Creating hairstyles has been a passion of his since he was 12 years old and his sister was one of his first nonprofessional clients when he was young.
A former Topeka resident (Kansas), Hiegert attended the Seaman High School and during his junior year, finally the Washburn Institute of Technology introduced a Cosmetology course that he was willing to attend to further his education.
He balanced his last two years of high school with being a Cosmetology student and he moved to Rhode Island in 2019. He then moved to New York City, where he started working at the Rita Hazan Salon.
One day, Dawson took his chances and messaged Jacob Rozenberg on Instagram, who is one of Harry Josh‘s assistants. After numerous conversations, Hiegert got the chance to assist the veteran hairstylists for a Victoria’s Secret lingerie ad campaign and from that job, many other fruitful occasions followed (it is important to note that these duties were added to his training at the aforementioned salon).
In the future, Hiegert would like to find himself touring with a musician as a hairstylist, and Lana Del Rey would be his dream client.
He is now the first assistant to Harry Josh.
