Daniel Martin is a New York-based makeup artist.
He began his career apprenticing at an Aveda concept salon before teaching for the brand regionally. Since embarking on his solo career, Martin has collaborated with designers including Chris Benz, Proenza Schouler, Cynthia Rowley, and Khaite.
His work has been featured in Interview, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar and he was also one of two makeup artists to participate in the historic “All Black” issue of Vogue Italia, shot by photographer Steven Meisel.
Martin counts Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex as his loyal client, as well as Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Alba, Olivia Palermo, Priyanka Chopra, and Jessica Biel.
He has collaborated with top names within the fashion industry, including brands like Proenza Schouler and Chris Benz, makeup artists Pat McGrath and Patti DuBroff, and photographers Steven Meisel, Annie Leibovitz, and Ellen Von Unwerth.
Additionally, Martin is Tatcha’s Global Director of Education and Artistry.
