Ayae Yamamoto was born and raised in Japan and dreamt of becoming a hair/makeup artist at a very young age.
To make her dreams a reality, Ayae attended beauty school to kick-start her career as a hairstylist and makeup artist.
Within a few years, she started her makeup career at Shiseido, later becoming freelance where she worked with celebrities and editorial photoshoots.
In 2011, Ayae moved to New York City to further her career where she assisted top hairstylists. After assisting, continued freelancing, working on editorial and catalog campaigns. A few years later, Ayae joined Harry Styles on his first solo album tour, Live on Tour and Love on Tour (2018-2023).
Ayae’s easy-going, friendly personality mixed with her quick and responsive working style makes her highly trusted by clients.
Some of Yamamoto’s most known clients are Simu Liu, Teo Yoo, John Cho, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sam Claflin, Gabriel Macht, Poppy Liu and Amy Tsang.
