Ana Sorys is a Toronto based makeup artist and Emmy nominated hairstylist.
When she first started out, she was just a makeup artist on film sets, but when SARS hit, she noticed that people didn’t want their makeup done, but they still wanted their hair done, so she took advantage of the opportunity, went to hair school and got her hair license.
Working in the Canadian sitcom Schitt’s Creek, she had the chance to work both of on hair and wigs, women and men, creating hairstyles for different occasions, always having a character’s development in mind.
When she thinks about her career, she sees everything she has done as an organic progression of what felt right at the moment.
She will certainly be very busy in the future too and she is grateful for the time spent with actors who made her feel at home and still require her services today.
