This Tuesday I’d love to talk about the audacious fashion choice TikToker and now actress Addison Rae made for this year’s annual LACMA Art + Film Gala; if you are a lover of everything vintage, you are in for a treat.
For the gala, Addison looked breathtaking in a backless vintage Jean-Louis Scherrer plum ensemble with a plunging neckline covered in hand-sewn gemstones, accessorized with ankle-length Art Deco necklaces. The look was part of the Fall-Winter 1999 collection under creative director Stephane Rolland.
In a rare glimpse at her shoes on the red carpet thanks to Variety, we could determine that she wore –what appear to be–black Jimmy Choo Max satin platform sandals.
Addison‘s dress was the star of the show, so it was imperative for her makeup to be understated but curated, courtesy of MUA Nina Park. The queen of no-makeup-makeup look just combed the internet personality’s eyebrows giving them a feathery look, painted Rae‘s lips with a color slightly darker than her own and applied a pair of natural looking false lashes to finish it all off.
The “He’s All That” actress hair was styled by Bryce Scarlett in long, soft, beachy waves using Fekkai products.
Her nails were courtesy of nail artist Natalie Minerva, who opted for a sheer nude manicure to keep everything balanced.
As can be imagined, I liked the fact that Addison was styled by Ryan Hastings, especially if your intention is to delve into vintage clothing. He is able to create the most romantic and sublime imagery and from Addison‘s part I think is remarkable, because probably most people see her as inexperienced and too young whereas this association proves that she cares about fine clothing and working with people who can deliver the best services in the fashion industry.
I’ve said it already but I’ll repeat it, Hastings is already doing God’s work with actress Taylor Russell, so I already know that Addison is in very good hands.

On November 5, 2022, notables from the art, film, fashion, and entertainment industries gathered at LACMA for its eleventh annual Art+Film Gala honoring artist Helen Pashgian, an influential pioneer of Southern California’s Light and Space movement, along with trailblazing Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook.

LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio co-chaired the event for the eleventh consecutive year.
Proceeds from the annual Art+Film Gala go toward underwriting LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission. This includes exhibitions, acquisitions, and educational programming, in addition to screenings that explore the intersection of art and film.
The Art+Film Gala was once again made possible by Gucci‘s longstanding and generous support.
